Closed areas: Several roads remain closed in Kinchega National Park due to rain
At present Woolshed Drive is open allowing access to the Historic Woolshed, Emu Lake campground and Kinchega Shearers Quarters. Lake Drive is also open allowing access to the Morton Boulka day use area and the Cawndilla campground. All other roads remain closed. i.e. River Drive and campsites, and Tandou Road all remain closed. These closures will be updated as conditions change. Fire bans: Park fire ban for Paroo-Darling National Park
There is a 'no solid fuel fire policy' in Paroo-Darling National Park all year round. This park fire ban will remain in effect unless otherwise extended or removed. During park fire ban periods, all campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamite) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted as long as:
- They're under direct control of an adult
- The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
- There's an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket)
