Muogamarra open season 2025

Muogamarra Nature Reserve is open for only 6 weeks, from 9 August to 15 September 2025. Located just north of Sydney, near Cowan, it's perfect for a weekend day trip.

The reserve is a paradise of rare native wildflowers. Enjoy expansive views of Bar, Milson and Spectacle islands, Berowra Creek and the Hawkesbury River. Join a guided walk to Peats Bight, Bird Gully, Lloyd Trig and Deerubbin.

Remember to book online before you arrive. You can only visit if you've booked a guided or self-guided tour in advance.

Muogamarra: Bird Gully guided walk

Walk 3.5km along Bird Gully track around the edge of a hanging swamp in Muogamarra Nature Reserve, near Cowan. Bring your camera. You'll want to photograph the gorgeous flowers in this amazing reserve.

  • 10am to 12pm. Gates open at 9am.
  • 1pm to 3pm. Gates open at 12.30pm.
