Escape the city and join a Discovery ranger on a 2-hour guided nature spotting walk in Royal National Park. Starting at Wattamolla, you'll walk through coastal heath abundant with native wildflowers. Learn to identify the unique species of the area like the delicate white flannel flower.

As you follow the coastline, look around for local wildlife. The pretty banksias attract many species of birds including superb fairy-wrens and honeyeaters. You may even see an echidna or lace monitor.

You'll soon reach the magnificent sandstone cliffs of Providential Point. This lookout is the perfect location to watch for whales as they travel past the coast. Here you will stop for a break and learn about the migration of these magnificent marine mammals. You can bring your binoculars and a snack for morning tea.

Then you’ll follow the Coast Track to explore more of the coastline before returning to Wattamolla to finish your walk.
