We’ll begin at the information centre and will follow the John Duncan (JD) Tipper loop. We’ll pass by spectacular flowers of all colours. Some interesting historical places along this path include the museum and the JD Tipper lookout and monument. You'll learn what inspired Tipper to conserve this beautiful pocket of bushland.
We’ll also see the old cabin site and scattered relics from Tipper’s era.
We'll then walk to Point Loop, a natural rock platform with a gorgeous view to Bar Island, Berowra Creek and the Hawkesbury River.
Muogamarra Nature Reserve is open for just 6 weeks a year to preserve its fragile ecosystems and Aboriginal heritage.
Bring drinking water and snacks. Wear sunscreen, insect repellent, sturdy walking shoes, hat and consider bringing walking poles if needed.
The 2025 Muogamarra merchandise design features a beautiful waratah flower. The design will be available as a magnet, tea towel or tote bag. This year you can pre-purchase items online when booking your ticket so that you don't miss out.
