Warrumbungle National Park is renowned for its glittering, clear night skies, far from the light pollution of urban areas. You’ll see them through the lenses of two 8” dobsonian telescopes and binoculars.

Guided by a National Parks ranger, we’ll observe distant stars, planets, and galaxies in incredible detail and gain fascinating insights about the constellations and sky mapping.

From the iconic Southern Cross to the lesser known but equally captivating stars and nebulae, the southern skies offer endless wonders for stargazers of all levels.

Even if the weather is bad, there’ll still be a lot to find out about the night sky. In the case of cloudy skies, the tour will continue with engaging educational activities, including night sky mapping and a discussion on the basics of constellation identification.

Bring a torch and remember to wear warm clothing as the nights can get very cold in Warrumbungle National Park.
