Wallingat campground access is off The Lakes Way via Sugar Creek Road and River Road. Do not use Barbies Road or Link Road which are inaccessible to vehicles.

Closed areas: Worimi Conservation Land Beachfront Driving Closed

The Worimi Conservation Lands and Samurai Beach, Tomaree National Park is currently closed for beach driving, due to extreme weather and marine conditions until Friday 4th April when conditions are expected to ease.

Do not enter closed areas, drive over the frontal dune or any vegetation- fines apply.

Closed parks: Karuah National Park - Entire Park Closure

Karuah National Park is closed until further notice due to infrastructure repair works on Hobart Forest Road and recent storm damage causing the deterioration of conditions on the remaining access road; Witt Road. This closure effects the following parts of Karuah National Park:

- Tattersalls Campground

- Double Wharf Picnic Area

Karuah National Park will re-open when access road conditions are safe.

Closed parks: The Glen Nature Reserve closed for Fire Access and Fire Trail Upgrades (FAFT)

The Glen Nature Reserve will be closed until May 2025 to allow contractors to undertake trail upgrade works. The closure has been put in place for the safety of both visitors and the contractors. The planned works and this closure may be weather dependent.

Closed areas: Yacaaba Headland walking track partial closure

Yacaaba Headland walking track, in southern Myall Lakes National Park at Hawks Nest, is open to a viewing point.

Beyond this point the track is closed for visitor safety due to track construction and environmental assessments.

Penalties may apply for non-compliance.

Yacaaba Spit track remains open and people can continue to walk along the beach.

Other planned events: Mungo Brush Rotunda upgrade works

Mungo Brush rotunda upgrade works are scheduled from Monday 17 February to Friday 11 April 2025. Works include relocation and repairs to the structure.

Mungo Brush campground and picnic area will remain open with exclusion areas at the construction site.

Closed areas: Box Beach carpark night closure

Box Beach carpark is closed to vehicles from 10pm to 5am daily. The gate will be locked during these times.

The Box Beach access road is also closed to vehicles during this period.

Little Mountain Road and Little Mountain campground are closed while Little Mountain Road is being repaired. The road is impassable.

Closed areas: Mungo track detour due to flood damage

The boardwalk between Tamboi trail and Brambles Green campground is permanently closed due to flood damage.

Walkers on the Mungo Track can take the detour at Mungo Brush. Please follow the walking track to the beach and then walk south for 4km. Take the slashed management trail which connects the beach to Mungo Brush Road to re-join the Mungo Track.
